La Capra Goat Run Festival 2021

In the spirit of La Capra, we bring you the La Capra Goat Run on 6 November 2021. An event promising fun and fitness for a good cause!

The Goat Run will take place in the morning, while the festivities will kick off at 11h30. You can expect wholesome food, a petting zoo, lots of eats, drinks and much more.

As always, this event is about raising funds and giving back to the community.
The annual event caters for participants of all ages and fitness levels and offers a 28km, 15km, 8km and 5km trail run along the beautiful and iconic Paarl Mountain, along with a 5km fun walk. The 8km, 15km and 28km routes traverse the slopes and upper areas of Paarl Mountain and Paarl Nature Reserve and promise some rewarding views. The 5km will cater for less serious runners and walkers alike.
Returning this year in the 5km range, we have The Daniel and Friends Push Forward 5km. Here moms with prams are most welcome. The class is also for other-abled participants of all ages to enjoy a wheelchair-friendly and equally beautiful route on the day. This category includes entry for someone pushing a wheelchair or “buggy”, as well as entry for the other-abled participant.

Prices range between R500 and R200, while the Daniel and Friends category is R150. Participants will receive a goodie bag and T-shirt, kids up to the age of 8 years walk for free but will not receive a gift bag.

Spectators and participants can look forward to a number of treats on the day, including a petting zoo and as always can head to Fairview or the nearby Spice Route for goods and activities that range from wine, cheese and patisserie delicacies to chocolate, biltong and beer tastings!

All sorts of food and drink, including La Capra and Fairview Wines and locally brewed beer, will be on offer. The prize giving includes plenty of spot prizes and the generous donations of the proceeds from race entries, to a number of beneficiaries.

While the festival itself is free of charge, tickets for the run will range depending on the distance:
28km (7h30) – R500
15km (8h00) – R300
8km (8h15) – R200
5km run (8h30) – R200
5km walk (8h45) – R200 (kids up to age 8 walk free of charge but will not receive a goodie bag)
5km Daniel & Friends Push Forward – R150

Any person may collect the race packs on behalf of someone else. You will need the name and surname of the person entered. Any distance or participant changes can be made at registration.
